My personal study skills

1. List three areas of study that you consider yourself to be strong in,
I feel that the three areas that I am good at in my study skills are;
· Research
· Time keeping
· Note taking

2. Explain, using one example, why you are good in this area
· Research, I am good in this area because I am quite resourceful and know where to get information, e.g. on my History GCSE coursework I found many sites to use a reference to my arguments.
· Time keeping, I am good at this because I always hand work in on time, for example none of my GCSE coursework was handed in late, all on time/before the set date.
· Note taking, I can make coherent notes which allow me to follow what the lecturer is saying while understanding it too.

3. List three areas of study that you consider yourself to be not so good at,
I feel that the three areas I am not so good at in my study skills are;
· Essay writing
· Presentations
· Grammar

4. Explain, using one example, what you might be able to do to help yourself in this area;
· Essay writing, I will practice in writing structured essays that keep to the point until I can write them to an excellent level.
· Presentations, This is simply a case of being a bit shy in front of a room of people, all I have to do is get over my fear.
· Grammar, Read more often and this can coincide with my essay writing.

5. List 5 strategies you will use to help you to do well on this course;
